Set in beautiful woodland and garden surroundings on the edge of  the charming Warwickshire village of Wilmcote.

Woodcote makes an ideal centre for exploring Shakespeare Country and the Cotswold's.  It is situated three miles outside Stratford-upon-Avon, giving easy access to the town's superb shops and restaurants, the three theatres, the River Avon and the many places of historical interest. Warwick and its Castle are seven miles away and the Cotswold's are close by - only half an hour's drive to  Chipping Campden.  Woodcote is a very convenient base for anyone visiting the National Exhibition Centre or the National Agricultural Centre as well as horse racing enthusiasts visiting Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick or Cheltenham race courses.
 

Wilmcote

The village of Wilmcote, with Mary Arden's House in its centre, has the facilities of two inns and a village shop.  Its station gives rail access to Stratford-upon-Avon, Birmingham and Leamington Spa.  It has a local bus service as well as being on the open top guided bus tour route which runs approximately every half hour from Stratford upon Avon around places of interest including Mary Arden's House

The cottage is both tastefully furnished and comprehensively equipped to a very high standard.

 The facilities include:

  • An attractive lounge with quality furnishing together with flat screen TV with freeview channels, radio and Video/DVD.

 

  •    A formal dining room
 
  •  A fully-equipped kitchen/breakfast room with a dishwasher, microwave, and portable TV.  The breakfast/dining area overlooks the secluded rear garden.

    

  • A lovely garden lounge (with radio/CD player) leading onto the rear  patio and garden

 

 


 

  • Upstairs are three, tastefully furnished large bedrooms, two double each with en-suite bathrooms and a third twin bedroom leading off one of the double bedrooms.  There is a further third shower/toilet/washroom on the ground floor

TRAVEL AND DIRECTIONS

By Rail 

Wilmcote station, which is close to the village centre, is on the Birmingham/Stratford-upon-Avon and Leamington Spa/Stratford-upon-Avon lines.

By Air

Birmingham Airport is a half hour drive away

By Road

Wilmcote lies off the A3400 (the Stratford upon Avon to Birmingham road)   3 miles northwest of Stratford upon Avon

From M40 - leave the M40 at junction 15 signed for Warwick/Stratford-upon-Avon.  Take A46 to Stratford-upon-Avon.  After about 5miles there is a roundabout joining the A3400.  Turn right towards Birmingham and after about 1 mile turn left to Wilmcote.

From M42 - leave M42 at junction 4, the A3400, signed to Henley in Arden.  Continue through Henley in Arden and in approximately 4 miles turn right to Wilmcote

After leaving A3400 it is approximately 1 mile to the centre of Wilmcote with Mary Arden's Inn and the village green in front of you. Turn left at this T-junction and after about quarter of a mile the road bends to the right.  Park Close is on the left, just beyond the bend.  Woodcote is the third cottage.
